DSLR Camera Support
RightBooth 6 continues to allow you to use your webcam for photos and videos, but if you have a DSLR camera it also lets you use it for taking much higher resolution photos and videos in your events.
RightBooth 6 achieves this using a customised version of the digiCamControl software that runs in the background which connects with your chosen DSLR camera over USB, seamlessly passing files back to your RightBooth event.
RightBooth 6 provides support for over 80 different models of camera (thanks to digiCamControl) from manufacturers such as Canon, Nikon and Sony. See the list of supported cameras
IMPORTANT We have not tested all makes and models of DSLR camera with RightBooth, so we recommend you test your camera in the evaluation version of RightBooth 6 to see if it is supported BEFORE deciding to purchase the software.
For details on how to do this, see: Using a DSLR camera
NOTE: RightBooth 6 does not use the live view from the DSLR camera. But it provides the unique ability of allowing simultaneous use of a webcam and a DSLR camera, where the webcam is showing the Live on-screen preview while at the same time the DSLR camera is recording videos and capturing photos. This requires both webcam and DSLR to be attached to your computer and both set to be pointing at the same field of view.
