Provide an Event Web Gallery on your Website
Note: The functionality described below is available in RightBooth version 7.17.8 or later and it relies on you having a website that can be accessed by FTP in order to upload files to it.
Setting up FTP - Recap
RightBooth provides the ability to upload photos and videos to a website using its FTP features. This has been available for some time now and there is information on how to set this up elsewhere on this website. But to recap:

RightBooth provides the ability to upload photos and videos to a website using its FTP features. This has been available for some time now and there is information on how to set this up elsewhere on this website. But to recap:
- Enter your web domain FTP details into RightBooth Settings -> Social media -> FTP
- Create an FTP File copy action to upload event photos and/or videos to a folder on your website. This is done in Event Designer -> Event files/folders -> Copy files to other drives and folders.
Providing a Web Gallery
In the above screenshot, the important point to note is that I have ticked the option Thumbs. This will cause RightBooth to generate thumbnail files of the photos and videos each time they are uploaded. It will also upload the thumbnails to the FTP folder at the same time. This is required to allow the RightBooth Web Gallery feature to work correctly and efficiently on your website.
Starting with version 7.17.8, whenever RightBooth uploads files to your website, it will automatically upload the Web Gallery PHP file: index.php. This is the file that will automatically show the Web Gallery view in any browser and also allow users to download selected photos/videos..
Note: It is important that your website is hosted on a platform that provides support for PHP files.
Accessing the Web Gallery
To allow users to view the Web Gallery, the user must enter the full address (URL) of the Web Gallery folder into the browser on their device (e.g. mobile phone). In my example above, the URL is:

Showing a QR code for the Web Gallery
You can display a QR code for the Web Gallery on an event screen. This will allow users to simply scan the QR code using their mobile phones in order to access the Web Gallery. To do this:

Customising the Web Gallery
Go to RightBooth Settings -> Social media -> Local web server -> Web gallery
This section in settings is designed primarily for the Local Web server design, but the following properties will also be applied to the Web Gallery on your website:
- Page title - Lets you choose the title of your Web Gallery that appears in the browser tab.
- Your banner - Lets you replace the banner image of your Web Gallery with your own image design.
- Sort by - Lets you choose to show gallery items in ascending or descending date order.
