Create Trading Card Events
This article provides an overview of how the tennis player trading card event is designed (see opposite).

The event is also available for download (see below).
RightBooth Set up
  • Make sure that you set your chosen camera to take square shaped photos.  The example event shown in the video has been designed to use a DSLR camera that takes photos at resolution 1920 x 1280 pixels, then these photos are automatically cropped to 1280 x 1280 pixels (square) in RightBooth Settings -> Cameras -> DSLR -> Photos:

  • Make sure you are subscribed to a Face Swap AI Service in RightBooth Settings -> AI -> Face swap.
Here, RightBooth is configured to use the MagicAPI service:

Event design - Key points
  • The user enters their first name on the User details event screen.

  • The user chooses a character from the Image grid on the Face swap AI event screen. You can add your own character images to this image grid in Event Designer -> Event structure -> Photo AI -> Face swap -> Image list.  Make sure  the images that you use:
    • are square, ideally 720 x 720 or 1280 x 1280 pixels
    • contain only 1 face per image

  • The Print layout event screen contains a suitably positioned label item that contains the text variable {FIRSTNAME}.  When the event plays, the contents of this label item will be populated with the name that the user provides on the User details event screen:

  • The Photo options event screen allows the user to choose from one of three print layouts in the Layout grid.  You can design more layouts and add these to the grid to suit your needs.
  • When a face swap process is happening, RightBooth displays an event specific waiting message.  This can be altered by changing the replacement text in Event Designer -> Event text  (Adding AI effects):

For information on how to create your own character images, design print layouts and use text variables,  search for these terms in the Search box on the main webpage.
