In order to use Face Swap in RightBooth you must:
- Sign up to the API Market: https://api.market/
- Create an API key to use in RightBooth: https://api.market/account/apiKeys
- Subscribe to the following AI services:
- https://api.market/store/magicapi/image-upload - a free service to allow photos and face swap characters to be uploaded by RightBooth for use in the swap process.
- https://api.market/store/capix/faceswap - the Capix face swap service. Here you can subscribe to the Basic plan where you receive 100 free face swap credits per month, or pay for more
- https://api.market/store/magicapi/faceswap - the MagicAPI face swap service. Again here you can subscribe to the Basic plan where you receive 100 free face swap credits per month, or pay for more.

We now present two solutions for implementing face swap in RightBooth:
- Solution 1 requires you to provide your own web storage for the photos and swap characters.
- Solution 2 uses the MagicAPI image upload service for storing the photos and swap characters.
Face Swap Solution 1
This solution can use the Capix or MagicAPI service.
With this solution you need to provide your own online storage directory into which RightBooth will upload the photos and character images required for the Face Swap operation.
Therefore this solution requires you to manage your own web server directory or other publicly accessible web storage location that can be accessed using RightBooth's FTP file upload feature.
Note: If you do not have your own web server or web storage, then you should consider using Face Swap Solution 2 (below).
Watch this tutorial video for a full explanation of Solution 1 (using the Capix service in the example)...
Update for Face Swap Solution 1 - August 2024
Since creating the above training video, the FTP information required in RightBooth has altered slightly.
Let's assume that you are using the website url: http://superfaceswap.com/faceswap/, this is what you must enter into the FTP details:

Let's assume that you are using the website url: http://superfaceswap.com/faceswap/, this is what you must enter into the FTP details:
- Root folder: superfaceswap.com/
- AI work subfolder: faceswap
- URL directory of your AI work sub folder and your character images: http://superfaceswap.com/faceswap
Note that RightBooth uses the Root folder combined with the AI work subfolder in order to form the required FTP upload path: superfaceswap.com/faceswap.
Then the public URL directory of this AI work subfolder is: http://superfaceswap.com/faceswap
And in AI Face swap settings, also enter http://superfaceswap.com/faceswap into this text box:

Face Swap Solution 2
This solution can use the Capix or MagicAPI service.
Solution 2 is simpler to implement than Solution 1 because you do not need to provide your own online storage directory or website and you do not need to make use of RightBooth's FTP file upload feature.
RightBooth will simply upload the photos and face swap characters directly to the MagicAPI server for use in the Face Swap operation. Please make sure you have subscribed to the MagicAPI image upload service (see link above).
Watch this tutorial video for a full explanation of Solution 2 which again uses the Capix service as an example:
This tutorial video shows how to create an event that takes 2 photos with 2 Face Swap operations and then combines the 2 swapped images together onto a single photo print layout
