Luke and Leanne were planning their wedding and decided they wanted a video booth at their reception to allow their guests to record some congratulatory messages. Luke did some research into various video booth hire companies.

We were on a tight budget for our wedding and we didn't really want to pay the video booth hire prices,
so I spoke to Nigel and that's when we decided to do it ourselves !
Nigel used his software development experience to set about writing an app to record videos using a webcam.
Luke was then able to use the app to set up a recording system with his own equipment. He already had a computer and a 28” monitor, so he just needed to buy a suitable webcam (he chose the Logitech C270). Luke also found time to make a hand painted, wooden 'kiosk style' box to house his computer and monitor (see opposite). Luke says... |

The software was easy to set up and easy to use.
Guests simply walked up to the booth, pushed a button and recorded a video.
The evening was a great success and over 100 videos and photos from guests were later put onto a DVD as a reminder of a wonderful day.
As a result of this DIY solution, the basics of the RightBooth application were formed and shortly after, Nigel released the first version (Oct 2013).
