RightBooth Version 4.0.23 Released

  • Added the new 'Keyboard control key' option into the 'User input' settings.

This will apply to the Keyboard key and USB button user input options. The default control key for these input modes continues to be the SPACEBAR, but you can now choose another key from the following choices:
  • Spacebar
  • Function key 1 to 12,
  • Scroll Lock key
  • Pause key.

If you are using the keyboard or a USB button as your input device AND your control key is set to ‘Spacebar’ then this will prevent your users from entering the space character into any text input box during the event (such as the user name text box, or the text message box).  Therefore if you want users to be able to enter a Space character into text boxes during the event, then you should change the keyboard control key setting to one of the other available keys listed above.

Also if you are using a USB button, remember to alter your USB Button configuration so that it delivers your chosen control key to the computer.

if you have chosen Keyboard key as your user input method, then RightBooth will assume you are using the Spacebar as the control key, and will therefore display prompts such as:
‘Press the SPACEBAR to continue’  during your events.

However if you have selected to use a different keyboard control key, then you will want to modify all event prompts that contain the word ‘SPACEBAR’. This is easily done within the ‘Common Event Text’ settings, which are available in the RightBooth Settings.  For more information, please read the latest RightBooth Manual.

  • Added the new setting: Print to file at the printer resolution.  This will create files suitable for printing at the resolution of your configured printer.  When not selected, print files will be saved at a size suitable for the current screen resolution.

  • Bug fix: Prevent arrow selectors sometimes appearing in top left corner of screen.
  • Bug fix: Allow arrow selectors to appear on User Details screen and Text Message screen.
  • Bug fix: Prevent program crashing if choosing to Retake a photo when the Photo Count is set to 1, and Photo printing is enabled

Example:     event5 2015-9-29 11-19-46 video nigel.wmv

  • Bug fix: Ensure all buttons are hidden on all event screens when choosing not to show 'Choice buttons'
  • Bug fix: Ensure all choice text prompts are active when 'Choice buttons' are hidden.
  • Bug fix: Fixes made to various program logic when 'Choice buttons' are hidden.
