Creating Eye Catching Text Prompts

The text prompts that appear on the RightBooth event screens are fairly static items.  

​This article shows how to use a combination of the label and image sequence items to add a bit more pizazz to your text prompts, by walking you through how to create the effect shown in the video

The animated text prompt shown in the video is created using an image sequence item and a label sequence item, as follows:

• In the Screen Editor, add a new image sequence item on your chosen screen
• Double click the new item to show the Image Sequence Files dialog
• Choose Show photos from the File List
• Click the Add button to add a number of images to the list
• In our example screenshot we have chosen four button images from the RightBooth Image Library
• Click OK to return to the Screen Editor

Now show the Image Sequence Properties and set the Animate properties to those shown in the screen shot below:

There are lots of animation types to choose from, so try experimenting with various animations and speeds until you achieve the desired effect.  In our example we are applying a radial fade effect between the images. The effect speed is 0.4 seconds with a 0.1 second pause between each animation.

We now need to add the text prompts.

• Add a new label sequence item on your chosen screen.
• Double click the new item to show the Label Sequence Files dialog.
• Choose Show text from Text list.
• In the Label Sequence Text box, type some congratulation messages, such as:
  • Nice one !
  • Super photo !
  • Great job !
• Click OK to return to the Screen Designer.
• Move the new label sequence item over the top of the image sequence item.

Now show the Label Sequence Properties and set the Shadow, Text and Animate properties to those shown in the screen shot below:

Again, you can play with the Animate properties until you obtain the desired animation effect between the text prompts.
