Designing An iPhone Style On-Screen Keyboard

This article explains how to re-design the RightBooth on-screen keyboard so that it looks similar to the one you find on iPhones and iPads.

Open the RightBooth event in which you require the on-screen keyboard, then select this design option:

Event Designer --> Event structure --> Miscellaneous --> Use 'mobile layout'

This will set the RightBooth on-screen keyboard layout to be similar to the iPhone, but it also needs some design work applying to it.
On each event screen that you are showing the on-screen keyboard item you will need to edit the keyboard by clicking on it and then changing the following keyboard properties:

  • Background: Choose the single colour option (not the gradient option).
  • Set the background colour to a slightly lighter gray.
  • Border: Un-tick this property
  • Corners:  Set this value to zero
  • Text:  Set the background colour of the text to white. This will make the actual keyboard buttons white.
  • Font Bold: De-select this option
  • Font size: Increase this to 22

After applying all these changes you should find that the on-screen keyboard now looks like this...
